Regardless of age and ability, the WCFL has a Cheer Squad for EVERYONE!
WCFL Cheer can & will provide a team for any & all cheerleaders who wish to become part of our family!
GOALS OF THE WCFL:
1. To provide a forum for the recreational needs of youth ages 4-15 for our recreational program and ages.
2. To encourage teamwork, good sportsmanship, self esteem, trusting and caring for others.
3. To promote healthy minds and healthy bodies, making friends, demonstration of self control, learning to follow directions, and most importantly...to HAVE FUN!
The WCFL, established in 1992, provides a recreational football and cheerleading program for the youth of Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, The Acreage, West Palm Beach, Lake Worth, Loxahatchee and Boynton Beach, Florida.
All Cheerleading Coaches undergo a background check by the Village of Wellington before taking the field with a team or a squad. Coaches, Board Members and Team Parents are VOLUNTEERS AND OUR NOT PAID.
CHEERLEADING-SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
WCFL Cheerleading does not hold try-outs. Space on the squads is on a first-come, first-served basis, limited by the number of volunteer coaches we have each season.
Cheerleaders are taught the fundamentals of cheerleading and some advanced skills. All levels of experience are welcome, from beginner to elite!
We are a recreational program with AllStar expectations. Meet new people, make new friends, gain self-confidence and increase self-esteem in our friendly environment. LEA
WCFL Cheerleaders cheer for the WCFL Football Teams in each division.
