WCFL COACHES
Below are the steps required to coach and/or be on the fields during game day.
1. Register then enroll to become a coach or team parent.
2. Get your background done
3. Get USA Football Certified
1. ENROLL & REGISTER TO COACH:
Go to https://www.wcflfootball.com/current-programs and choose the program you want to volunteer for and enroll. If you are new, register and then enroll as a volunteer in the appropriate program.
2. BACKGROUND CHECK AND FINGERPRINTING:
Village Of Wellington does the background check at the park. Please go to the front desk when you head into the gym. The desk is on the right. There is a master Binder with all the Coaches information that will be updated with your info.
If you have done the background and fingerprinting for coaching another sport, you are still required to signup/transfer/verify your information with the VOW for WCFL. There still maybe a fee associated with this. You can pay by credit card, check or with cash (PLEASE HAVE THE EXACT CHANGE)
The current times for Background at the Village are:
1. Tuesday, Wed, Thursday 6pm to 9pm
2. Sunday 12noon to 6pm
Approximate cost for background is:
• Quick screen is $13.50 (Required if you have fingerprinting in the last year)
• Fingerprinting is $33.25 ( should be the max total if both are required)
3. Get USA Football Certified
- Go to USA Football Youth Certification (https://footballdevelopment.com/courses-certifications/) Click "Learn More" under Tackle Certification.
- Click on "Get Certified"
